On the Cut List

Love the first weekend of October (and April, for that matter!).

I get to listen to the most spiritual messages from amazing men and women and cut fabric, all at the same time. Not your most conventional past time for listening to General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but there it is. It's how I roll. I stay awake, take notes, and prep projects. Win-win in my book.

So, here's what I'm going to cut into this weekend:

The Alpine Wonderland fat quarter bundle and brown Bella solid is intended for a big On A Whim quilt for my brother's family as a Christmas gift. Can't wait!

The collection of polka dots is meant for an I Love Lucy Churn Dash quilt. As in, we love "I Love Lucy" around here, especially the episode where she churns her own butter, and she wears polka dot dresses. So it's a trifecta of Lucy! I'll share this one with my oldest girl.

Another Hello Sunshine quilt. This time, I'm using this quilt pattern, although I'm tweaking the cutting instructions because I really dislike wasting pretty fabric. I'd much rather just put it in the quilt! So my quilt will be bigger, but that's okey dokey by me!

This ginormous stack of squares is going to be Accuquilted into a ginormous stack of big hexies. It's the Too Cute to Spook line (which has the world's cutest selvedges). Here's my train of thought: Halloween: witches. Witches: hexes. Hexes: hexies!

It's okay if I'm the only one who thinks that's clever. It's going to be a stinkin' cute Halloween quilt. Actually, more like two Halloween quilts. No guarantees it will be done this year, but that's okay. I'm just finishing one I started last year for Halloween, so I'm right on schedule!

I've got some others in the queue, but only if I get these ones done. Simple, jelly roll ones.

I'll post my finished flimsies tomorrow. Life is chugging along over here! I'm working on some exciting things for me. A new blog, a new business. Fun stuff.
