Friday Finish: Pinwheel Pillow Shams

They aren't done.

Just saying that up front. The "flimsy" is done, if you want to call it that.

I'm stuck now. How do I quilt it?

Allover free motion pattern? Something more block specific? Any ideas? If you have a brilliant idea, with a picture or Pin, please share.

Linking up at crazy mom quilts, who has the cutest little quilt she finished up on her blog today.

  1. I have seen that pattern done with quilting that curves from point to point of each triangle. A lot of stops and starts though. Very pretty colours.

  2. I don't know how you should quilt it, but I LOVE IT!! You should just send it to me until you decide;)

  3. Hmm, it's a pillow sham, is there a quilt it will be going by? My first thought was old fashioned stipple, then I think maybe diagonal, 1/2 qulting? Pieced blocks always make me crazy to quilt!

  4. This is beautiful! I struggle with how to quilt pinwheels too. You might do micro stippling in the white and leave the pinwheels (besides stitching in the ditch around them). . . would really make them pop....

  5. For me it is calling out for some sort of flower pattern in each block rather than an all over. I look forward to seeing what you decide to go with!

  6. I made a pinwheel quilt and quilted a diamond on each pinwheel block which looked nice. I love your colors!
