Fabric Tuesday: Sew Together now!

This is my second one, and I must say, I'm loving this little zippy bag. So handy to have around!

Here's my dilemma. This was always intended for a friend. And it's not because I love it so much that I'm hesitating to send it. It's because it's less than perfect. There's little hiccups everywhere on it and it makes me a smidge squeamish to send it. I want it to be special, you know?

I can make another one. It didn't take all that long. What do you think? Have you made a Sew Together Bag?

  1. They won't see the little imperfections in the bag because the bag is just so amazing! I've made 3 myself and finally have one to keep. All three have imperfections but will be well loved by their recipients because they are just so cool!

  2. I think it is really nice! We are our own worst critics. If you will not feel pleased to give it then make another one, but it does look like a great gift the way it is.

  4. It's beautiful and I see no imperfections. But I am a little bit of a perfectionist and would probably make a second one for my friend. I'm always better on the second one!

  6. I think your bag looks great. I am making one also and see that I am having some troubles. I know that when I put the binding on the side pieces it will be bulky. I am thinking on the next one I will use a thinner interfacing or no interfacing on the piece made in step one that encases the three zippered pockets. This should take some of the bulk out.

  7. Beautiful bag!! I'm sure they won't even notice any imperfections (I didn't see any).

  8. I don't see any imperfections and I think it is beautiful. Even if there are imperfections, just keep telling yourself that there is no such thing as perfect in something that is handmade and that the beauty sometimes lies in the imperfections. I think we are always too hard on ourselves!

  9. I don't see any imperfections... it's beautiful. We are always too hard on ourselves, and my new motto is that the beauty in handcrafted items lies in the imperfections!

  11. Does your friend have an official badge from the Quilt Police? If not, don't worry! If she doesn't love it, send it to me...hint hint!

  13. I love it! Are you going to write a pattern for it? If so, I know exactly what I'm going to use it for!

  15. Might I ask for the pattern?

  16. I don't think I've ever made anything that is "absolutely perfect". There is always one or two little glitches. I think if you are that uncomfortable about this one then try another.....then send your friend the best of the two! ;)
