Waving the white flag over here.
I surrender to the madness that is the scrappy trip along. I held out pretty well, don't you think?
I will confess it is not purely scrappy. My little OCD brain can't handle that just yet. I had all that London fabric left over from Christmas and thought I'd make a Trip Around London quilt. I pulled everything red, blue and yellow I had and I'm happily making blocks whilst watching Downton Abbey. Oh, and I threw a little Madrona Road text in there, just for fun. And I had to have the solid white to rest my eyes on.
I get why this is such a popular quilt to make.
Oh, and I made my second block for my do.Good Stitches bee. Wanted to try out a churn dash.
Love how it came together, but I'm not sold on low-volume. Add it to my list of quilty quirks. I might have to make a full on confession one of these days, but it may make me unpopular!
Linking up, because I certainly do have works in progress today!
I love your controlled scrappy trip a long blocks!!! I am definitely too OCD to not have some sort of scheme as well. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Jennie, I love your scrappy quilt ... I have resisted thusfar but am wavering - maybe next week :)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love all that red in that scrappy trip. I understand the urge to do one. I am guilty too. lol
ReplyDeletelove the trip around London :) I'm still holding out on that QAL, but it is hard :) I really need to finish some other WIPs for my sanity's sake
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I'm not sold on low volume and I dont know that I could go completely scrappy either! Love your work!
ReplyDeleteI like the solid! I think I'm going to do totally scrappy with w/ solid black running through!
ReplyDeleteNah, I'm not so much into low volume either. I like colour. And the scrappy trip around the world needs some order too i think. Some of them just hurt my eyes they are so "loud". I like a place for the eye to rest.
