But that list is for my husband, so back to talking about Bees and Swaps.
I LOVE seeing bee blocks and pillow swaps and pouch swaps and all that. I feel like the geeky kid on the playground, who wants to join in but just doesn't know how.
Well, if the playground taught me anything, it's this: start your own game!
I am a research junkie, so before I start my game, who is interested? What are you interested in swapping? I'm thinking smallish, like pillow covers or pouches or a combination of small things. I'm also thinking Christmas, but would that be too stressful? I don't want it to be stressful, just fun.
Give me your thoughts and I'll put it together. If you are interested in doing a bee next year, let me know as well. I'd really like to do one, and I'm fairly certain I'm intelligent enough to do it.
I would be interested in one that started in the new year. The rest of the year is very hectic already. My vote would be for a pillow cover.
ReplyDeleteI'm game for a bee . . . one where we each have a month and choose what we want other hive members make. I'd love for it to be a 2 block bee though . . . 12 total blocks just isn't enough for a good size quilt. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteHi!!! Sounds like something fun!!! I am new to everything but I would give anything a go!!! I will watch for what you come up with!!!
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying the row along with Bee in my Bonnet, though I have never actually commented or posted a pic. Like you, I feel like the geeky kid and I'm new to all this and really don't want to show off my work. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I would like to do some sort of swap. I feel like am always a few days late to get in on the game. Just like you the dorky kid who can figure out how to get into playground game :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to play along! =)
ReplyDeleteI want to play too! and would love to join in on a swap, I like all the usual things like pouches, pincushions, needle books, something small(ish) that doesn't cost a fortune to post.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's ok, but I posted about your idea on my blog. I think a few of my readers would want to join in, too. =)
ReplyDeleteI would love to join in as well! Sounds fun and since you are new to it all maybe I wont be to left behind in the tec area. I found you from Amy's site so if its a closed group that's ok too.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about wanting to do another swap! I would be game for a small-ish project.
ReplyDeleteI think a swap would be fun, I like the idea of something small, pincushion, pillow and maybe a block swap? Maybe you could try two and see how it goes? Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteI would love too...I haven't done one yet and I would love something fairly small to get my feet wet ;-)
ReplyDeleteAmy (Quilting Sheep) directed me here. I would be more for a bee than a swap. I am too much of a control freak though and would prefer to provide my own fabric. That may also take the pressure off participants and avoid disappointment from recipients. Thanks for opening it up to opinions.
ReplyDeleteI would love to join in a swap or bee. My favorite choice would be a block swap, but I'd be game for anything!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like fun! I'm new to quilting but eagerly devouring all I can learn!
ReplyDeleteI am unsure of the difference between bee and swap but I'd be game! Count me in!
I've only ever done swaps and bees between "real life" friends and have been a bit nervous over joining an online one. But I'd be up for it. I think a swap might be quite fun for Christmas. There's tons of time still, right?
ReplyDeleteI would love to do a swap of some sort. I have never done one before so I am a bit nervous about it. I will keep watching for more news.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to join in on a bee of some sorts. Next year though, i agree with others, the rest of the year is just too hectic already.
ReplyDeleteI'd be in for something. Seems like every time I want to join a swap, the places are always full. Keep me in mind if you come up with something or if you need ideas.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog. I'd love to join in on your bee. I've been quilting since mid nineties but when I first started I did some swaps. While they were fun, at that time there were so many smokers and I'd get a block that just reeked. Bleck.. I quit that fast but it was so fun waiting to see what I got. If you get one going, LMK please.
ReplyDeleteComing over from A quilting Sheep, I would LOVE to join in the fun!
