She's fat eighth friendly. Honestly, F8 bundles are quickly becoming my favorite pre-cut. Not as pricey as a fat quarter, but still enough of the line to make a decent sized quilt. And this girl is 75" square. All stitched up in the bright candy colors of Wee Wander.
I backed her in baby pink minky, and of course my baby girl has claimed it. Do you know how many quilts this girly has? Yeah. Too many.
Taffy would be adorable in just red and white, for Christmas:

Kate is the genius behind the fabulously nested seams on all my patterns. Taffy was a challenge, and I'm always ready to just throw in the towel and press everything open, but Kate solved the puzzle and these babies lock together like Legos. It's a beautiful thing! Must be why she's so fabulous at t-shirt quilt designs. Seriously. A master at puzzles, Miss Kate.
And there's a giveaway! But there's a catch. Here's the catch. I'm wondering something.
There's a big "mini" trend. I love them for their cuteness, but honestly, my Gran's voice is in my head saying, "What's that supposed to cover, my elbow?" Quilts, at my house, are meant for snuggling.
So why not big quilt blocks? Like, say 30-inch blocks?
I sketched up a Taffy quilt, just for fun, that's 75" square, just like the original, only it uses 30" blocks instead. So just four blocks. Wouldn't that be fabulous? Just four blocks and you have a big, snuggly quilt!
So that's your question. Maxi or mini? Would you make a quilt with giant blocks, or do you prefer the mini trend? Maybe we could start our own trend.
