It's been a rough week (including an ER trip with the four-year-old that ended in some stitches!). I'm still working through my sewing funk. Finishing this flimsy isn't helping the funk, but it's something. I'm trying to be positive. I'm trying to just do what I can, hoping I'll get some time with the long arm soon. It's just not happening like I'd planned.
And I really need some better locations for picture taking. The fence is not cutting it anymore for me.
This is one big quilt. Black and red and gray and white and pink polka dot and gingham churn dash blocks. And looking at the picture, I'm excited again about it. Can't wait for all the rest of the I Love Lucy episodes we're going to watch while snuggling under this quilt. Granted, I need to get a back for it and all, but still. I'm excited.
So, backing. Flannel? Quilting cotton? Minky?
Decisions, decisions.
Linking up over at Crazy Mom Quilts. I've missed her Friday finish blog posts.
Beautiful!! What a wonderful finished top :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your wee one, stitches are never fun! Little ones heal quickly which is good. . . that doesn't make dealing with the moment any easier though!
This quilt is delightful!!
