Make-A-List Monday: Promises to keep

I'm sticking to my guns on my slowing down and taking notice goals. Which means these lists will be shorter most of the time, unless we've got a kid project going.

But let's review last week:
  • Finish these Blossom quilt blocks

Blossoms flimsy is finished and on the pile. Bottom of the pile, because it needs a back. I'm thinking of a fun print for the back - like yellow polka dots or something.
  • Sew together Happy-Go_Lucky Basketcase quilt top
Meh. Wasn't feeling it this week.
  • Start Flower Sugar Economy blocks, just because I can
  • Make some quilt backs
Didn't feel this one either. When I don't know when I'll get to quilt, so why bother?
  • Maybe finish my Ruby flimsy, if all goes well
Nope, but I'm getting closer to this one. The blocks are sewn together in rows with the sashing strips, and now I've got more Ruby (hooray for blogging friends) here, and on the way, so I can finish the sashing strips and borders. SO EXCITED!

Okay, on to this week. One hour per day. That's seven hours this week. Not counting kid projects.
Me projects. I will do trimming at the kitchen table when my eldest two are doing their chores (kitchen and living room). Two birds, one stone. Things get done when there is supervision. But as for me this week:
  • Finish the Economy blocks
  • Cut Ruby squares and lay out sashing and squares
That's all for me. I'll try to get more done, but I'm not going to force it.
Kid projects:
  • Laurel and I are going to make some doll dresses (and I'm making a doll for little sister Caroline)
  • William and I are going to make a pillowcase
  • Fabric and pattern shopping for Laurel and I - that girl needs some cute skirts!
So that's all for us.
