First, the winner of all three patterns from last week was Christine! I've e-mailed you you your bundle of patterns! Congrats!
My fourth pattern, Something New. With quarter square triangles and flying geese. And lions, tigers, and bears. Oh my.
The blocks finish at 16", and the quilt finishes at 68"X86". Again, she's fat eighth friendly, and so fun to make scrappy. Kate went scrappy with hers, and I'm loving the scrappy red, white and blue:
I sketched up a version done in all navy, just to see if those blocks would look like snowflakes, and they did! I think this would make a lovely winter quilt.
And now, let's have a giveaway. This is the last of my quilt patterns for a bit, besides the maxi versions premiering next week. So let's make it fun! The winner will receive PDF copies of all four patterns, plus their choice of F8 bundle from Westwood Acres. Just leave me a comment telling me if you prefer paper or PDF patterns. Inquiring minds want to know.
Giveaway runs through next Tuesday night. I'll announce the winner Wednesday morning. Good luck. If you don't feel like waiting, the pattern is available in my Craftsy shop for $5, this week only.
Oh, and checking this girl off the 4QFAL list!
I prefer Paper because I seem to have Karmic issues with printers!
ReplyDeletePDF! Easy to store, easy to use!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is beautiful! I love the fabrics you used, but the navy and white version would also be stunning. I have only every bought/used PDF patterns!
ReplyDeleteI like PDF patterns- instant gratification.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pattern! It looks stunning in the navy and white. I like both but it's a bit like magazines and paper copies just seem nicer somehow! Also I'm more likely to use them because I can physically see them in my sewing area!
ReplyDeleteI love PFD patterns because shipping is so expansive and I have it in a few seconds:-)
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful quilt!! I love your fabric choice for this one. I prefer PDF patterns.
ReplyDeleteI like paper patterns. I forget I have PDF patterns!
ReplyDeleteYour scrappy quilt reminds me of jelly beans for some reason! Beautiful. I will take either form of a pattern. Lovely design.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your patterns they're lovely! I like the instant gratification of PDF's but have never downloaded a pattern and immediately started sewing also I feel like I have to have a paper copy too so I print it out and store it in a binder with all the other paper patterns I own! Seems like I should just buy the paper pattern lol.
ReplyDeleteThis block is very nice and when I see the block I think I can make this! I like paper if available but will buy PDF.

(I prefer paper patterns.) This is lovely! Congrats! And I love the new blog header and design, too. So crisp and clean looking - great job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Quilt. I love PDFs. I can organize them on my computer and if I need to have a paper copy for my sewing room, I can print one out. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI like both. If the pattern has alot of pictures, i prefer to have it printed. If it isn't too bad, I enjoy instant pdfs.
ReplyDeleteI like PDF. Paper gets lost at my house!!
ReplyDeletePDF oatterns are my favorite. I save them to my iPad in iBooks. Awesome quilt pattern!!!
ReplyDeleteI live in Canada so PDF patterns are great. Your pattern is gorgeous and the navy and white has caught my eye. Love it! Thank you for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletePDF! Instant, stores easy, and always within reach!!!
ReplyDeleteAll your patterns are beautiful!
Those snowflakes are perfect! I'm always a pdf pattern person. I like not having to keep up with paper.
ReplyDeletePDF, so they're harder to lose!
ReplyDeleteI love the dark blue version!
ReplyDeleteI kind of prefer PDF, because there's no waiting or trip to the quilt shop, but I've lost too many of them over the years to computer crashes.
I usually prefer pdf"s but not for clothing - too many pieces to tape.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to like PDF better, as long as my printer is working! Just LOVE how the navy and white really makes it look like snowflakes are falling! All the quilts are gorgeous!
ReplyDelete16" blocks are great for me -- I can make a quilt 48" x 64" and be within the size requirements; or even add a narrow border if I choose too!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely looking quilt, Jennie. I think I'll have to buy this one!
I like paper - I hate printing things out! And beautiful pattern!
ReplyDeleteI prefer paper.....I am old school....love to see it and feel it....and to be able to look at the pattern instead of scrolling through pages....I hope this makes sense
ReplyDeleteI love paper patterns. This quilt is beautiful in the colors and in the blue and white.
ReplyDelete"Something New" is an especially pretty design! I love scrappy quilts and that's what mine will be when I make one for myself! I have used PDF patterns only once and didn't have a lot of luck, so I'd prefer the paper patterns which have never given me trouble!
ReplyDeleteI prefer paper. I struggle to have a good storage system on my computer for them.
ReplyDeleteI prefer paper. Lovely quilt. Thanks for the chance.

I like paper patterns best, especially for projects I plan to work on right away. I like your snowflake quilt!
ReplyDeleteJackiethompson323(at)gmail.com
I love Something New! yes - Oh my! I like paper patterns. Thanks for the generous giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI like either depends on how big of a hurry I am to make the quilt. I really like the border on this quilt.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! Paper patterns are soooo convenient, but I have a bunch of PDF ones, too.
ReplyDeleteI like paper patterns. It's cheaper to buy a new printer than it is to buy toner. When I get a PDF pattern I end up driving to the library to print it (unless I'm in a real hurry to have it RIGHT NOW!)
ReplyDeleteI like paper best.n thanks for the nice giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI like this pattern!
ReplyDeleteI'm a paper pattern person….
PDF for sure. So much easier to keep track of patterns.
ReplyDeleteI think this is my favorite pattern so far. I like PDF as long as I can still print what is necessary. It is so nice being able to pull it up electronically at the LQS.
ReplyDeleteI still love the paper form. I guess I like old school! Great quilt!
ReplyDeleteI like paper much better. sarah@forrussia.org
ReplyDeleteI prefer paper because my printer thinks that every time I purchase a pattern it should have a new ink cartridge. So frustrating! Thanks for a chance to win your fabulous patterns!
ReplyDeleteI usually order PDF patterns - I only prefer paper if there are templates.
ReplyDeletePDF...I have waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much paper in my life! :-O
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern. I prefer the PDF versions.
ReplyDeletePaper please - I am old school too! Love the quilt.
ReplyDeletePaper patterns are nice if you are using applique or making clothes. PDF patterns are great if you do not need to cut out odd shapes.
ReplyDeletePaper. I can't pinpoint the reason. I'm the same way with books. I don't like to read them on a kindle. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeletePaper - but I can see the advantages of PDF !
ReplyDeletePDF.. Save the paper!! And harder to lose :)
ReplyDeleteI am a pdf kind of girl! I prefer thing to be stored in my computer, the bookcase is already soooooo full!
ReplyDeleteEsther
PDF patterns kinda girl.
ReplyDeleteI prefer PDF patterns - that way I can print them again if I lose the paper pieces!
ReplyDeleteI love my pdf patterns because they are instant gratification and they are very easy to store!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! love the blue and white, it does look just like snowflakes all over. I like to have pdf patterns, saved on the computer for when I want to use them. BUT.... I also like to go thru my printed patterns (ok, I admit, I tend to pet them and dream). however, if they're on the computer I can't lose them.
ReplyDeleteA very belated whooohooo!!! And thank you. :) (Also, I love this pattern too. It’s going on my list.)
ReplyDeleteLove the navy and white version. I like both for different reasons. Paper look more professional and are lovely to have. PDF get to me immediately and I can store them digitally as well as physically, so if I lose my print out I can do it again.
