Friday Finish: Auntie's Kitty Quilt

This quilt was commissioned back in January. I delivered it to my aunt at the end of last month, and she gave it to her childhood bestie in California right away.

Not going to lie. This was a tough quilt. But fun, and I love how it turned out.

Backed in a pretty charcoal Minky, and quilted all over with loops, hearts and flowers. I also hand-embroidered a label for her.

Checking this one off the 2QFAL list

  1. Love the quilt! Did you use a pattern? I know my dad would love a cat quilt, too, and it might be a great birthday gift:-)

  2. Love how their tails entwine! Can you do a tutorial on how it's done?

  3. I imagine that this one does have its faults. It looks complicated and getting all the pieces in exactly the right place can be confusing.....and missing it must be exhausting! You did a great job of putting it together though! Love your colors!

  4. It's gorgeous, Jennie. Sometimes the tough ones aren't as much fun but the results are so worth it. I love the blues too :)
