Good morning sunshines!
I hope you had a lovely weekend and are ready to dive into this quilt along. And by dive I mean walk into the water. I'm no expert at this thing, so we'll take it slowly.
This week is all about cutting your fabric.
First, choose which size you'll be making. As a reminder, here are the sizes and fabric requirements for each size:
If you're going scrappy, then just know that you'll need a fat quarter for every two blocks, and a fat quarter-ish of background for every two blocks. I'm pretty sure. I don't do scrappy, remember?
Once you have your size picked out, follow the cutting instructions here. I've tried to make it simple, but man, four different sizes is a doozy.
Print Fat Quarter cutting per two blocks:
- (4) 5x9 1/2" rectangles
- (4) 5" squares
Table Runner Background (5 blocks):

Happy cutting this week!
Oh, and the pattern is available in my Craftsy shop - for free during the QAL. If you're an over-achiever and want to start piecing, by all means go for it. But I've got some tips and tricks for you next week, so you might want to wait a bit.
Thanks Lucille!
ReplyDeleteBedankt! (in Dutch)
I'll wait until next week for the tips and tricks! I'll give one tulip a go! But can you just stop at one tulip? !
I can't stop at just one tulip! Good luck trying. :)
