Make-A-List Monday: Quilting!

Welcome welcome! Happy Giveaway Day! And may the odds be ever in your favor!

Let's face it, things, they are a-crazy everywhere. And this giveaway day has been on my mind a lot, but not enough for me to buy something to giveaway. Take a gander at my lists every week.

So the plan is this - same as last year!

How's about a $25 Etsy gift card? My Christmas gift to you!

The rules:
  • One entry per person
  • I moderate comments, and I will reply, so don't comment twice if you see that your comment didn't publish - I'll publish it, I promise!
  • Please please please leave an e-mail if you are a no-reply blogger
  • Contest open until 5 p.m. PST Friday 13 December
  • Winner will be e-mailed and posted by Saturday 14 December
Oh, and tell me what you're working on these days. It's my weekly list making day, and I like seeing what else is going on in the crafting world! So stick around and see what I've been up to - I hope you like it!

Oh, the list this week! But first, the list last week:
  • Finishing Mom's Weekender
Getting there - I need more Peltex! Headed to Joann's later today to get what I need for this bag and my Sophia projects. Still, I've got everything cut out, and the piping made. Sure love making these bags, though. Seriously!

  • Cutting an apron for my auntie (maybe some oven mitts too)
Done! But can't show you because I think she might read this blog from time to time! Fortunately, I have a lot of aunts, so she doesn't know who she is. But if I posted a picture, she'd know!
  • Cutting a Sophia bag for my niece
Um, thought I'd ordered the pattern, but apparently I didn't. So I ordered the pattern Friday. But here's the fabric I'm using:

The outside of her bag

The inside of her bag (she loves elephants, but I didn't want it to be too cutesy, so I'm putting the elephants on the inside)

The piping and straps - remarkably, I know all these grays are the same, but they do show up differently, don't they

And just because I can, here's what I chose for my daughter's bag:

Outside - she loves all woodland critters, and we've got a thing for hedgehogs at the moment, plus, it's not super girlly girly

The inside

The piping and straps - she's an aqua lover, like her mama

I'm excited to cut into these. I'm going to add zippy pockets to the inside, of course. Can't wait! Fabric arrives Friday!
  • Binding finished quilt
Done. LOVE this quilt. Love the person it's going to live with too! Full reveal on Friday!

And now, my loverly list this week:
  • Finish Mom's Weekender
  • Cut that Sophia bag for my niece (and one for my daughter as well)
  • Piece some Weekender panels
  • Check out all the giveaways!
Now, if my sister-in-law deems me worthy, I might get to sneak over to her house and quilt my heart out while she is out of town. If that is the case, here's what I've ridiculously got planned:
  • Quilt Ready Set Snow Matchbox quilt
  • Quilt Easy as Cake quilt
  • Quilt Flirt 9-Patch quilt
  • Quilt London Trips quilt
When I'm home, I'll bind them up and show them all to you!

This is my crazy Christmas week. We've got our regular stuff, like piano lessons and whatnot. Add in an activity for my oldest daughter, Cub Scout pack meeting for my oldest son, a church Christmas party on Saturday, and finals begin for my husband this week. It's madness.

  150. What a nice giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win. I'm not working on nearly as many things as you are. I am working on a 3 year cross stitch project - 36 pages and I'm aiming, and so far achieving, for 1 page completed per month. If I finish early in the month, I work on unfinished projects. Right now, there is only one, a patriotic quilt that just needs the quilting and binding done. See, not much at all.

  152. My list is very long - mostly because I do the fun parts (piecing the quilt top) and then start something new before I finish the boring parts (basting, quilting, and binding). And I get distracted by zippered pouches, key chains, and tote bags (aka almost-instant gratification).
