This quilt along was a blast, and I'm so glad I let Cristina talk me into it. (By the way, did you see that she's the Cover Girl on the latest issue of Love Patchwork and Quilting - and by she I mean her gorgeous quilt? SO COOL!)
Okay, but back to Texas.
Quilting this one was challenging. I've never had those wide, open plains of negative space to fill. What to fill them with? That quilting was going to show up! In the end, I went with stars and hearts.
Quilt stats:
Top fabric: Happy Go Lucky and yellow Bella solid
Binding: navy check from Happy Go Lucky
Backing fabric: more yellow solid
Pattern: Deep In the Heart of Texas Roadtrip Quilt Along, hosted by Cristina at Pretty Little Quilts and Melissa at My Fabric Relish
Marking it off the 4QFAL list. And linking up all around!

Love this! I've just recently seen a pixelated Australia on a quilt. Love the idea of doing one.
