Not-A-Finish

Have you read the book "Not-A-Box" to your kids? Mine loved it, mostly because it perfectly represents how they feel about boxes.

Anyway. I seem to focus only on finishes lately, as if they magically appear in my sewing room as finishes. Not true at all.

I've been working on these blocks off and on for a while. You know, make the HSTs, trim them, stitch them together, press. I pull it out in between other projects.

But the quilt top is finally done! I used Thimbleblossoms' Lucky pattern, but I made it bigger (tell me you're not shocked!).

So quilts are works in progress over here too. Promise. Here's the stack of scrappy trip blocks I'm going to stitch together this week.

And I'll trim some flying geese blocks while I watch "When Calls the Heart" for the eleventy billionth time. All while enjoying my functioning AC. No complaints over here!
What are you working on this week?

  1. Hi Jennie
Wow the Lucky quilt top is so pretty, good job - does it use a layer cake?
The scrappy trip blocks don't look scrappy to me... they'll look terrific sewn together.

  2. Your finish is lovely, I really like the fabrics you used. It's such a happy looking quilt. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished scrappy tiles quilt - that block looks fantastic!
